In a landmark partnership, Kempower has joined forces with Paterson Simons to bring cutting-edge DC fast charging technology to West and Central Africa, marking Kempower’s first official sales and service representation on the continent. The first major achievement of the partnership is the supply and installation of a Kempower DC charging system by Paterson Simons at Meridian Port Services (MPS) in Tema, Ghana, to power the site’s port equipment. The project featured six 300 kW CCS2 Kempower Double Satellites, built for tough conditions, and an integrated solution for cooling and remote operations. The new Top500 list of the fastest supercomputers was released today at the ISC25 conference in Hamburg, Germany. LUMI, EuroHPC Joint Undertaking’s flagship supercomputer operated by the LUMI consortium, positioned 9th on the Top500 reaching a measured High-Performance Linpack (HPL) performance of 379.7 petaflops on this biannual list. Over 3000 scientific projects have been running on LUMI, and over half of LUMI’s computing resources have been utilized for AI-related research and innovation.

The Research Council of Finland (RCF) has launched a funding call to improve universities’ ability to recruit international experts to Finland. In line with the RCF’s strategy, the call will promote internationalisation and strengthen competence centres and research environments. With a preliminary total budget of 50 million euros, the call will fund university recruitments between 2026 and 2030.
