Tänä vuonna RAI-kongressikeskuksessa on 19.–21. marraskuuta mukana lähes 20 suomalaisyritystä esittelemässä uusia innovaatioitaan.

The Finnish boating industry's joint Suomiveneilee.fi test drive event will bring together over 40 different motorboats for test drives in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, on May 17–18. The event offers a variety of boat types, from traditional rowing boats to jet skis, and from work boats with aluminum catamaran hulls to large recreational boats.

Kaksi soutajalegendaa, Jari Saario ja Joonas Kuivalainen, saapuvat huhtikuun 4. päivänä järjestettävään LOL Expo 2024 –liikunta- ja hyvinvointitapahtumaan Wanhaan Satamaan. Saario esittelee messuilla legendaarisen veneensä ja kertoo soutu-urakoistaan Atlantin yli Kuivalaisen tavoitellessa tapahtumassa minuutin sisäsoudun maailmanennätystä.

The weakened purchasing power of consumers and the uncertain economic situation were reflected in the sales of the Finnish boating industry in 2023. According to statistics for registrations and wholesale deliveries, the number of new boats sold decreased by almost thirty percent from the previous year, while the net sales of boating industry companies decreased by 7 percent. The boating industry employs approximately 3500 people in Finland, and according to preliminary estimates, the net sales of Finnboat’s member companies exceeded EUR 800 million in 2023.

Palomies, pelastussukeltaja Jari Saario teki vuonna 2023 ainutlaatuisen Atlantin valtameren ylityksen soutuveneellä kaksi kertaa. Matkaa seurattiin tammikuusta lokakuuhun suurella kiinnostuksella. Saario tuo Vene 24 Båt -messuille 9. – 18.2.2024 Helsingin Messukeskukseen soutuveneensä, jossa vietti 178 vuorokautta ja jolla souti 11 800 km.

The Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show (Uiva Flytande) opens this Thursday bigger than ever. The floating boat show will present almost 300 boats, while the exhibition stands will cover a record 3000 square metres on land.

Finland’s summer boating season culminates in the middle of August at a major event for enthusiasts of boating, fishing and other summer water activities in Lauttasaari, Helsinki. Finland's largest in-water boat show, Uiva Flytande (Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show) will take place this year from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 August.

The boating industry returned to a normal level from the boom of the pandemic years. According to boat registration and wholesale delivery statistics, the number of new boats sold decreased by ten percent from the peak year of 2021, but sales of equipment and engines picked up. The boating industry employs around 3,500 people in Finland, and the turnover of Finnboat's member companies exceeded 800 million euros.

The popularity of boating has risen to a record high, and this can also be seen in Helsinki Boat-Afloat show: in the area of HSK yacht club harbour in Lauttasaari, the docks will be full of big and small boats next week. After a one-year break, the Uiva Flytande boat show will be held again from 18 to 21. August 2022.

For the Finnish boating industry, 2021 was a year of strong growth: the companies' turnover increased by 40 % and boat exports rose to an all-time high. The boating industry employs about 3,500 people in Finland and the net sales of Finnboat member companies is almost one billion euros.

The Finnish boat industry experienced both disadvantages and benefits from COVID-19. The latter part of the year showed a strong growth after the sudden stop in the spring 2020: business grew 11 per cent and the boat exports, which had suffered the most during first half of 2020, were back in growth in the second half of the year. Boating industry employs approximately 3,500 people in Finland and the turnover of Finnboat member companies is more than 600 million euros.

The Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show, the mid-August culmination of the Finnish boating season, is again gearing up for opening, this time on 15 August, familiarly in the maritime Lauttasaari district. The event brings together 150 exhibitors and well over 260 different boats at HSK yacht club’s marina, which effectively transforms into one big boating village for the four-day event.

The Finnish boating industry achieved domestic growth, while the export market re-mained stable. Popularity of small leisure boats and a demand for bigger motor boats than before are two trends apparent in domestic boat sales.

The Mahogany Yachting Society is dedicated to preserving mahogany boats. At the Finnish Association of Wooden Boat Builders' section visitors can order a new boat, survey what's available or admire boat builders' skills during demonstrations.
