Data transfer speeds and volumes increasing in the corporate sector – DNA introduces new subscriptions for business needs
The growing use of smart phones for data transfer is also being reflected in the corporate sector: faster connections are being selected for new subscriptions and old data transfer packages are being updated to faster ones.
“The demand for data transfer services has increased clearly from last year, and faster connections are being ordered,” states DNA's acting Vice President of Corporate Business Hannu Rokka.
Customers still want to select services that meet their needs precisely. Data transfer needs can vary widely, even within companies, according to the individual employee's duties. Data transfer is automatically included in the DNA subscriptions that will become available today, on 6 February 2014, but the customer can choose from several implementation options. All subscriptions include a minimum data transfer service of 2 Mbit/s, but the connection can always be upgraded to a faster one.
New subscriptions
The monthly fee of the DNA Optimi Liittymä includes 1 gigabyte of Perusnetti data transfer at 2 Mbit/s. Calls and text messages will be charged for according to use.
DNA Optimi Perusliittymä is invoiced according to use and includes a 2 Mbit/s data transfer connection. A daily price is charged for data transfer, that is, the cost is based on the number of days of data transfer use each month.
DNA Optimi Pakettiliittymä has a package price and modifiable features. The subscription's monthly fee depends on the fees of the service packages selected by the customer. There are five call packages, three SMS packages and four data transfer speeds to choose from. The subscription will use the super-fast 4G LTE connection if supported by the customer's devices, the available network and the service package.
New products defined by customer survey
“We determined the scope of the service packages on the basis of a customer survey. For the DNA Optimi Pakettiliittymä, for example, you can choose a maximum data transfer speed of 2, 21, 50 or 100 Mbit/s. The maximum speed of 100 Mbit/s can actually reach up to 150 Mbit/s, depending on the device and network. There is a further option to prioritise the three fastest speeds, in which case DNA will always provide the customer with the fastest connection available,” Rokka says.
All DNA Optimi subscriptions can be linked with DNA Mobiilivaihde, DNA Toimistoviestintä Microsoft and DNA Toimistoviestintä Google, DNA Virtuaalineuvottelu, and other corporate services provided by DNA.
