Lymed receives German Design Awards Special Mention!
The jury described Lymed Sport garment as follows: “Lymed Sport was designed especially for sportsmen and women in order to prevent injury or settle the problems of earlier injuries. The clothing is based on the same principles as medical and technical protective wear. This special clothing works by improving the athlete’s posture, body perception and muscle tone. This in turn increases control over posture, movement and muscle. A highly functional design with an attractive appearance which once again demonstrates that modern medical and technical protective clothing can also look good.”
“We are very happy to be constantly recognized by our high level of design and quality”, says CEO of Lymed, Mrs Teija Toikka. Among the evening’s winners with Lymed were, e.g. Bentley, Braun, Sennheiser, Mercedes-Benz and Fiskars.
The German Design Award is the international premium prize of the German Design Council. Its goal is to discover, present and award unique design trends. The award ceremony took place February 12th 2016 in Frankfurt.

"Cake for everybody!" exclaims CEO Toikka as Lymed wins its newest quality design award. Lymed Sport products were awarded with the very hard-to-get German Design Award Special Mention for the year 2016. The happy event occurred right after the latest Red Dot Design Award 2014 and Quality Innovation of the Year 2013 prizes, just to name a few. The award is given to works whose design features particularly successful sub aspects or solutions - an award that honors the commitment of companies and designers. “This is absolutely marvelous!” says Lymed’s CEO, Mrs Teija Toikka with glee, "We are very happy to be constantly recognized by our high level of design and quality".
