"Tour de France" of ski final event at Ylläs-Levi in 2017

- We are extremely proud to be a part of Visma Ski Classics family and believe that having a
final event at the Ylläs-Levi area will help us to reach our future goals and become the largest cross-country tourist area in the northern Europe, says CEO of Oy Levi Events Ltd Janne Pelkonen. As an organizing party, Levi Events has a lot of experience on hosting international events such as the ski event World Cup Levi.

The long distance ski races are unique winter sport events combining professional and amateur skiers through picturesque landscapes across Europe. Visma Ski Classics includes 13 traditional and esteemed events all the way from Marcialoga in Italy to Vasaloppet in Sweden, and now also to Ylläs-Levi in Finland.

- Our mission is to bring arctic and Lappish dimensions to skiers as well as the TV audience all around the world. We ensure a stable and high-quality finish for the whole tour in order to best serve everyone - the skiers, our partners, the media and of course the fans, Pelkonen continues.

Ylläs-Levi area has 550 km of well-prepared tracks with guaranteed snow for seven months of the year. It is easy to fly in with the help of Kittilä airport, and to stay at the Levi Ski Resort, with an offering of more than 45 000 beds and a wide range of services.
