Vapaus, the forerunner in the employee benefit bikes sector, is pleased to announce a significant milestone in its strategic development. The company has successfully secured a 15 million euro loan arrangement from Norion Bank, a business-oriented Nordic financing bank, committed to fostering business growth and sustainability.


This strategic financing initiative is aimed at supporting Vapaus's ambitious plans for growth and internationalization within its impactful and award-winning Benefit Bike service. The funds obtained through this loan will be utilized to expand the company's market presence in Finland, to ramp up operations in Sweden, and continue innovation in the development of employee-centric welfare and mobility solutions.

Tuoreen kyselytutkimuksen mukaan työsuhdepyöräilijä polkee keskimäärin 1217 km vuodessa. Traficomin mukaan suomalaiset pyöräilevät keskimäärin 234 kilometriä vuodessa – työsuhdepyöräilijä polkee siis yli viisinkertaisen matkan muihin suomalaisiin verrattuna! Tämä selviää työsuhdepyöräyritys Vapauden tuoreesta “Työsuhdepyöräily Suomessa 2024” tutkimuksesta. Kyselyyn vastasi lähes 4600 työsuhdepyöräilijää ympäri Suomen. Onko kyse vain siitä, että työsuhdepyörän hankkivat ne, jotka polkevat jo muutenkin paljon? Ei suinkaan. Kyselyn mukaan työsuhdepyörän hankinta saa ihmiset pyöräilemään enemmän. Noin 43 % vastaajista kertoo, että pyöräily on lisääntynyt merkittävästi työsuhdepyörän hankinnan jälkeen. 36 % arvioi pyöräilymääränsä kasvaneen hiukan. A recent survey indicates that employee benefit bike users cover an average distance of 1,217 kilometers per year. In contrast, according to Traficom (The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency), the average distance cycled by Finns annually is 234 kilometers. This suggests that benefit bike users cycle over five times the distance compared to other Finns! This finding comes from Vapaus, a Finnish employee benefit bike & service provider, and their latest research titled ‘State of the Benefit Bikes in Finland 2024’. Nearly 4,600 benefit bike users from all over Finland participated in the survey. But is it only those who already cycle a lot that opt for the employee benefit bicycles? Työsuhdeautoja on nyt vähemmän kuin työsuhdepolkupyöriä Työssäkäyville tulee huhtikuussa tarjolle uusi työsuhdepolkupyöräetu. Sitä alkavat tarjota Suomen käytetyin työsuhde-etupalvelu Edenred sekä Vapaus. Työsuhdepyöräilijöistä 42 prosenttia on vähentänyt autoiluaan. Työsuhdepyöräilijöistä 43 prosenttia on lisännyt pyöräilyään merkittävästi työsuhdepyörän myötä. Ylipäätään suomalaisten polkupyöräilyssä juuri työmatkapyöräilyn osuus on viime vuosina korostunut. Neljännes kaikista pyörämatkoista on työmatkaan liittyviä. Työsuhdepolkupyörä on 42 prosentilla sen käyttäjistä vähentänyt autoilua.
