Stockmann has chosen to partner with DNA for the overhaul of its telecommunications infrastructure. With the partnership, Stockmann is able to adopt DNA’s secure, software-controlled access solution.

Constantly evolving data security requirements and cloudification present companies with the challenge of ensuring the continuity and reliability of their business in a dynamic operating environment. With a comprehensive telecommunications and data security solution, companies can react to changes quickly. The cooperation agreement between DNA and Stockmann includes the provision of a secure and comprehensive solution that enables all department store network functions, from payment terminals to guest WLAN.

DNA was chosen as the supplier for Stockmann’s extensive infrastructure overhaul thanks to its impressive professional services, internationally recognised expertise in software-based networks and history of providing strong retail solutions. Modern telecommunications and data security solutions allow Stockmann to further bolster the security, visibility and steerability of its business. The agreement covers Lindex Group Plc’s Stockmann department stores and webstore in Finland and the Baltic countries.

“We operate in an international environment where modern, reliable, always-available solutions are a prerequisite for successful business operations. With the help of DNA, we are overhauling our data security infrastructure and further improving our data security. We chose DNA because of its ability to offer us a future-proof, secure network as a service solution with wide geographical coverage. Excellent support services are also very important to us”, says Stockmann’s CITO Janne Holli

“It’s great to work with a company that represents an excellent customer experience and high quality as well as Stockmann does. The customer experience is also central to how we do things at DNA, which is why we always tailor our solutions to the customer’s business needs. In us, Stockmann has a partner that pioneers next-generation access solutions, delivers modern telecommunications and data security services internationally and takes full responsibility for those services while developing its operations constantly in close collaboration with its customers”, says DNA’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Business Anna-Mari Ylihurula.

The capabilities of DNA and its parent company Telenor’s telecommunication services are world class in terms of both scope and reliability. DNA collaborates closely with international industry leaders to provide its telecommunications services. With the expertise of DNA and its partners, solutions can be built flexibly for even the most critical applications using the Single Responsible Partner principle.

Smartphone use is declining among small children – but limiting the use is not enough20.5.2026 09:15:00 EEST | Press release

DNA is consistently developing children’s digital safety skills together with its partner Protect Children Association, which has been organizing digital safety workshops for young schoolchildren for several years. This spring, the company also distributed digital skills exercise booklets to more than 230,000 Finnish homes. Although children are starting to use smartphones later than before, they still face major risks online – which makes digital safety skills more important than ever. The topic is particularly relevant right now, as school summer holidays begin before many parents start their own vacations. In June, many children spend long periods at home and online without adult supervision, which increases the risk of encountering harmful content or inappropriate contact.
