President Stubb to participate in the national school peace declaration event in Hämeenlinna

President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will participate in the national school peace declaration event in Hämeenlinna at Seminaarin school on Wednesday 28 August 2024.
The programme of the event includes reading the declaration of school peace written by pupils and performances by pupils. President Stubb will also present his own greeting.
The event will be broadcast live in Yle Areena.
Later President Stubb will meet some of the pupils who organised the occasion, representatives of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the management of the City of Hämeenlinna over lunch.
In addition, President Stubb will visit Voutilakeskus, a multi-service centre for the elderly.
The School Peace Programme is a joint programme of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, the National Police Board of Finland, the Finnish National Agency for Education, Folkhälsan and Vanhempainliitto (Finnish Parents’ League). The aim of the programme is to promote the well-being and safety of the school community. The school peace theme for the school year 2024–2025 is “Et ole yksin – Du är inte ensam – You are not alone”.

Under besöket bekantar sig president Stubb med Ålands självstyrelse, träffar representanter för landskapet Åland och diskuterar aktuella frågor med dem. Presidentparet besöker dessutom Kastelholms slott. President Stubb träffar också medborgare på Mariehamns torg med start ca kl. 15.10. Makan till republikens president, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, har ett separat program utöver presidentparets gemensamma program. Hon besöker bland annat Ålands sjöfartsmuseum i Mariehamn.

Tasavallan presidentin kanslia Tiedote 44/2024 8.8.2024 Tasavallan presidentti Alexander Stubb vierailee yhdessä puolisonsa Suzanne Innes-Stubbin kanssa Ahvenanmaalla tiistaina 13. elokuuta 2024. Vierailulla presidentti Stubb tutustuu Ahvenanmaan itsehallintoon, tapaa Ahvenanmaan maakunnan edustajia ja keskustelee heidän kanssaan ajankohtaisista asioista. Lisäksi presidenttipari tutustuu Kastelholman linnaan. Presidentti Stubb tapaa myös kansalaisia Maarianhaminan torilla noin kello 15.10 alkaen. Tasavallan presidentin puoliso Suzanne Innes-Stubbilla on erillisohjelmaa presidenttiparin yhteisen ohjelman lisäksi. Hän tutustuu Maarianhaminassa muun muassa Ahvenanmaan Merenkulkumuseoon.

Office of the President of the Republic of Finland Press release 44/2024 8 August 2024 President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will visit the Åland Islands together with his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb on Tuesday 13 August 2024. During the visit, President Stubb will familiarise himself with the self-government of Åland, meet representatives of the province of Åland and discuss topical issues with them. In addition, the presidential couple will visit the Kastelholm Castle. President Stubb will also meet citizens at the Mariehamn market square from about 3.10 p.m. onwards. Suzanne Innes-Stubb, spouse of the President of the Republic of Finland, will have a separate programme during the visit in addition to the presidential couple’s programme. It will include, among others, a visit to the Åland Maritime Museum.

Republikens presidents kansli Pressmeddelande 43/2024 23.7.2024 Republikens president Alexander Stubb och hans maka Suzanne Innes-Stubb besöker Frankrike den 25–29 juli och följer de olympiska sommarspelen i Paris den 26–29 juli. Torsdagen den 25 juli deltar presidentparet i ett toppmöte om idrott och hållbar utveckling, som Frankrikes president Emmanuel Macron står värd för, och i en middag, som Internationella Olympiska Kommitténs ordförande Thomas Bach står värd för. På fredagens program står president Macrons mottagning i Élyséepalatset och den officiella invigningen av de olympiska spelen. Under besöket hejar president Stubb och fru Innes-Stubb på finländska idrottare i olika grenar och träffar Finlands olympiska lag i tävlingsbyn.

Tasavallan presidentin kanslia Tiedote 43/2024 23.7.2024 Tasavallan presidentti Alexander Stubb ja puoliso Suzanne Innes-Stubb tekevät vierailun Ranskaan 25.–29. heinäkuuta ja seuraavat kesäolympialaisia Pariisissa 26.–29. heinäkuuta. Torstaina 25. heinäkuuta presidenttipari osallistuu Ranskan presidentti Emmanuel Macronin isännöimään urheilua ja kestävää kehitystä käsittelevään huippukokoukseen sekä kansainvälisen olympiakomitean puheenjohtaja Thomas Bachin isännöimälle illalliselle. Perjantaina ohjelmaan kuuluu presidentti Macronin vastaanotto Élysée-palatsissa sekä olympialaisten viralliset avajaiset.
