President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb will participate in the national school peace declaration event in Hämeenlinna at Seminaarin school on Wednesday 28 August 2024.
The programme of the event includes reading the declaration of school peace written by pupils and performances by pupils. President Stubb will also present his own greeting.
The event will be broadcast live in Yle Areena.
Later President Stubb will meet some of the pupils who organised the occasion, representatives of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the management of the City of Hämeenlinna over lunch.
In addition, President Stubb will visit Voutilakeskus, a multi-service centre for the elderly.
The School Peace Programme is a joint programme of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, the National Police Board of Finland, the Finnish National Agency for Education, Folkhälsan and Vanhempainliitto (Finnish Parents’ League). The aim of the programme is to promote the well-being and safety of the school community. The school peace theme for the school year 2024–2025 is “Et ole yksin – Du är inte ensam – You are not alone”.

Republikens presidents kansli Pressmeddelande 37/2026 20.5.2026 Republikens president Alexander Stubb och hans maka Suzanne Innes-Stubb besöker Rovaniemi 26–27 maj 2026. Tisdagen den 26 maj inspekterar president Stubb Lapplands flygflottilj. Under inspektionsbesöket får presidenten en översikt av verksamheten med Hornet-jaktplanen samt en lägesbild av ibruktagningen av de nya F-35-jaktflygplanen. Tasavallan presidentin kanslia Tiedote 37/2026 20.5.2026 Tasavallan presidentti Alexander Stubb vierailee Rovaniemellä yhdessä puolisonsa Suzanne Innes-Stubbin kanssa 26.–27. toukokuuta 2026. Tiistaina 26. toukokuuta presidentti Stubb tekee tarkastuskäynnin Lapin lennostoon. Tarkastuskäynnillä presidentti saa katsauksen Hornet-lentotoimintaan sekä kuulee F-35-hävittäjien käyttöönoton tilanteesta. Ohjelmassa on myös tapaaminen henkilöstön kanssa. Iltapäivällä presidenttipari tapaa rovaniemeläisiä avoimessa yleisötilaisuudessa Lordin aukiolla kello 16.30 alkaen. Office of the President of the Republic of Finland Press release 37/2026 20 May 2026 President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb, accompanied by his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb, will visit Rovaniemi from 26 to 27 May 2026. On Tuesday 26 May, President Stubb will inspect the Lapland Air Wing. During the inspection visit, the president will receive an overview of Hornet flight operations and an update on the introduction of the new F‑35 multirole fighter fleet. The programme also includes a meeting with personnel at the Air Wing. In the afternoon, the presidential couple will meet local residents at a public event at Lordi’s Square in central Rovaniemi, starting at 16.30. Europe Gulf Forum för samman politiska ledare från Europa och Gulfregionen. Forumets syfte är att fördjupa förståelsen av globala geopolitiska utmaningar samt att stärka det strategiska och ekonomiska samarbetet mellan Europa och länderna i Gulfregionen.
