Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu tarjoaa sairaanhoitajan laillistamiskoulutusta EU- ja ETA-maiden ulkopuolelta tuleville sairaanhoitajille. Koulutus on maksuton ja sen rahoittaa Jatkuvan oppimisen ja työllisyyden palvelukeskus. Laillistamiskoulutus kestää noin vuoden, jonka jälkeen opiskelija voi hakea Valviralta lopullista päätöstä sairaanhoitajaksi laillistamiseen.
