Componenta completed the acquisition of the business operations of the Kalajoki factory and Sepänkylä Machining and Service Center

Componenta has today, as planned, completed the acquisition of the announced Kalajoki Mill and Sepänkylä Machining and Service Center businesses from Fortaco Group on July 22, 2024, when the usual conditions for the acquisition have been met.

Componenta Manufacturing Oy acquired the businesses of Kalajoki and Sepänkylä, including their current and fixed assets, excluding real estate, at the purchase price of EUR 1.8 million from Fortaco Oyon 1 October 2024.

Componenta Manufacturing Oy buys the properties used by the Kalajoki and Sepänkylä businesses from Fortaco Oy no later than one year later. Until then, Componenta pays rent to Fortaco for the properties in Kalajoki and Sepänkylä. The paid rent is deducted from the purchase price of the real estate from 1 Me.

The transaction strengthens Componenta's service offering and capability for machine and equipment manufacturers. The comprehensive know-how of Kalajoki and Sepänkylä expands the company's production portfolio and complements the overall offering also as a contract manufacturer of heavier production. In the future, Componenta will also be able to make more extensive use of internal supply chains, for example, for sheet metal cutting deliveries and heavy machining. Componenta and the machining and service centre businesses in Kalajoki and Sepänkylä already have common customers.

Upon completion of the transaction, the Componenta Group will have approximately 660 employees and 10 locations in Finland. The company offers cast and machined components, guarantees, hydraulic pipes and sheet metal clips to global vehicle, machine and equipment manufacturers.
