Governor of the Bank of Finland to attend IMF Annual Meeting

The Governor of the Bank of Finland, Olli Rehn, will participate in the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington DC, 24 October 2024. Governor Rehn represents Finland on the Fund's Board of Governors.

The International Monetary and Financial Committee as well as the Development Committee, which is a joint forum of the IMF and the World Bank, will also convene in connection with the Annual Meetings.

The Bank of Finland will also be represented by Deputy Governor Marja Nykänen, Advisor to the Board Kimmo Virolainen, Head of Division Satu Kivinen, Senior Economist Anni Norring and Head of Communications Jenni Hellström.

De finländska hushållen ingick i september 2024 fler avtal om tidsbunden inlåning än för ett år sedan. Hushållen ingick nya tidsbundna inlåningsavtal för 1,4 miljarder euro, dvs. 0,2 miljarder euro mer än i september 2023. Den ökade inlåningen syns också i den tidsbundna inlåningsstocken (14,9 miljarder euro), vars årsökning i september var 64,5 %. Tillväxttakten mattades emellertid av jämfört med föregående månad.

In September 2024, Finnish households concluded a higher number of new agreements on deposits with agreed maturity than a year earlier. New agreements totalled EUR 1.4 billion, an increase of EUR 0.2 billion from September 2023. The increase was also reflected in the stock of these deposits (EUR 14.9 billion), which grew in September at an annual rate of 64.5%. The growth rate was nevertheless slower than in the previous month.

Syyskuussa 2024 suomalaiset kotitaloudet tekivät määräaikaistalletuksia enemmän kuin vuosi sitten. Kotitaloudet tekivät uusia määräaikaistalletuksia 1,4 mrd. euron edestä eli 0,2 mrd. euroa enemmän kuin syyskuussa 2023. Talletusmäärien kasvu näkyy myös määräaikaistalletusten kannassa (14,9 mrd. euroa), jonka vuosikasvuvauhti oli syyskuussa 64,5 %. Kannan kasvuvauhti kuitenkin hidastui edelliskuusta.
