Lahti, Finland, November 21, 2024 — Global asset finance company, DLL, and leading electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging solutions provider, Kempower, are partnering to provide financing solutions designed to accelerate the deployment and accessibility of EV chargers in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Italy as well as Australia and New Zealand, with more markets expected to follow soon.

Kempower is committed to making DC fast-charging for electric vehicles more accessible. This partnership with DLL will allow Kempower to deliver customized financing solutions to meet customer requirements while helping to lower upfront costs of EV charging infrastructure. Leveraging DLL’s expertise in financial services and its global network, Kempower can support its customers with flexible, more efficient financing options, further promoting widespread adoption of EV chargers in key markets.

Kempower Financing solutions, which may vary by market, will include options such as financial leasing, operational leasing, and retail instalment contracts, each with distinctions to support business needs. A financial lease is designed for companies looking to maintain their working capital, by spreading the cost of the equipment out via regular payments over the term period. For businesses still seeking adaptability and a shorter-term commitment, the operational lease offers both short-term and long-term rental plans.

In today’s world, where the cost of capital is high, we’ve listened to our customers and responded with financing solutions that increase payment flexibility to our customers, and can make EV charger deployment easier and more affordable. These financing solutions will be designed to maximize customer capital for efficiency, enabling them to invest in growth with smaller upfront investments,” said Jussi Vanhanen, Chief Markets Officer at Kempower.

Founded in 1969, DLL is a global leader in asset finance solutions for equipment and technology, managing a portfolio exceeding EUR 44B. The partnership with Kempower is testament to DLL’s committed to supporting the shift towards cleaner energy and decarbonization, as well as energy-efficient equipment for its partners and end-users.

DLL’s Head of Global Energy Transition Adrian Leach, shares, “We are excited to partner with Kempower, an organization who shares in our ambition of being a ‘transition partner for a better world.’ This partnership will provide Kempower’s customers access to financing solutions that can enable them to obtain the equipment they need to be successful.”
