Some units from the Surgical Hospital are moving to Meilahti: Emergency Clinic for Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases will become a part of Meilahti Emergency Department
The ear, nose, and throat diseases emergency clinic, urgent care during office hours, ward, and tumor outpatient clinic are moving from the Surgical Hospital to the Meilahti hospital campus. The units begin operating in the new location on February 4, 2025.

Emergency Clinic for Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases will transfer to Meilahti Emergency Department
The Emergency Clinic for Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases will become a part of the Meilahti Emergency Department. Access to Meilahti Emergency Department is via the Paciuksenkatu entrance to Bridge Hospital (Paciuksenkatu 3). In future, patients under the age of 16 in need of urgent care are treated at the emergency department of New Children's Hospital. Operation starts in the new premises on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 8 a.m.
An emergency referral from a doctor is required for treatment at the unit. If the patient does not have a referral or a previous treatment relationship with ear, nose, and throat diseases, we recommend calling the Medical Helpline at 116117. In an emergency, always call 112.
Units moving to Haartman Hospital
The ear, nose, and throat diseases units moving to the entrance floor of Haartman Hospital are the outpatient clinic that treats tumor patients, and the unit providing urgent care during office hours, where patients arrive with an emergency referral from Meilahti Emergency Department or by separate arrangement.
Haartman Hospital is located at the address Haartmaninkatu 4, in building number 12.
Units moving to Meilahti Bridge Hospital
The Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases Ward K6 will merge with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Ward S7A on the 5th floor of Meilahti Bridge Hospital. The ward’s new name is Head and Neck Surgery Ward S5B. Oral and maxillofacial surgery begins operating in the new premises on Monday, February 3, 2025. The ward's other activities begin on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Meilahti Bridge Hospital is located at the address Haartmaninkatu 4, in building number 4. Access to the hospital is via the main entrance to the Meilahti Hospitals.
