A globally acclaimed museum concept is coming to Finland – Paradox Museum Helsinki opens on 28 March

The new Paradox Museum Helsinki will surprise and challenge the senses of visitors with its visual exhibitions. The experience museum, suitable for all ages, will open in the heart of Helsinki at the address Fabianinkatu 29.

Helsinki’s museum offerings will soon have a new addition when the internationally renowned Paradox Museum Helsinki, which plays with optical illusions, opens its doors to the public. The exciting combination of a museum and an entertainment centre is designed to amaze visitors of all ages. It presents a total of 45 paradox-based exhibitions and exhibits that challenge the senses and perceptions of reality. Visitors can enjoy the entertaining and unforgettable paradoxes from 28 March 2025.

“Paradox Museum brings a completely new kind of museum experience to Finland, one that invites visitors to be inspired and have fun. Our museum is located right in the heart of Helsinki, and I believe that not only locals but also tourists and adventurers from near and far will find their way here,” says Kristiina Werner, General Manager, Paradox Museum Helsinki.

Paradox Museum is a global chain with museum locations currently in 13 cities around the world, including London, Hamburg, Paris, Miami and Shanghai. The museums, which creatively and innovatively present science and art, are popular destinations, comprising more than 1200 exhibits and 15,000 square metres of exhibition space worldwide. Paradox Museum opened its first location in 2022, after which its museums have attracted two million visitors. The museum chain is expanding rapidly, and Helsinki is one of five new locations in 2025.

“Each museum is a unique combination of visual themes, surprising exhibitions and local stories. Paradox Museum Helsinki, for example, will feature nuances of Nordic colours and topics of interest to Finns,” Werner continues.

Paradox Museum Helsinki will be open Tuesday to Thursday from 11am to7 pm, Friday to Saturday from 11am to 8pm, and Sundays from 11am to 7pm. The museum will be closed on Mondays. It is recommended to book a visit in advance on the museum’s website at www.paradoxmuseumhelsinki.com. The museum is located at the address Fabianinkatu 29.
