Kempower joins AEDIVE to support the growth of EV charging infrastructure in Spain and Portugal

Kempower joins AEDIVE, the Iberian Association for Electromobility, to support the transition to sustainable transport and the growth of EV charging infrastructure in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. Through membership, Kempower will become an active player of the electric transportation sector in the region and strengthen its presence in the market.
According to the European Environment Agency, transportation is the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions in the EU. To support the transition to clean mobility, Spain launched the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation (PERTE) in 2021 to become the European hub for electromobility. The expected effects of the project include the registration of 250,000 electric cars and the deployment of 80,000-110,000 charging points in Spain by 2023.
“We are pleased to join forces with AEDIVE and its network to promote the growth of e-mobility in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. Creating synergies between organizations accelerating the transition to clean transport is crucial. We at Kempower are happy to be part of the transition by offering high-quality fast-charging solutions with a top-class user experience”, says Tomi Ristimäki, CEO of Kempower.
Kempower’s product range includes dynamic and modular fast charging solutions and software with state-of-the-art user interface. The company has already gained a strong foothold in Europe, especially in the Nordics, which is a pioneer in e-mobility. Kempower recently announced that it will supply fast charging technology to an electric bus depot in Denmark, which will be the largest electric bus depot in the Nordic countries when completed, and to several bus depots in Luxembourg. The company has also expanded into South-West Europe: for instance, Kempower recently announced to supply fast charging systems to EV charging operator Power Dot in Spain, Portugal, and France.

Kempower delivers distributed megawatt charging solution to Norway’s largest grocery retailer ASKO’s depot in Vestby16.10.2025 13:00:40 EEST | Press release
Kempower is supporting ASKO, Norway’s largest grocery retailer and one of the largest Norwegian transport companies, in becoming fossil-free in its own transport. With Kempower’s distributed charging system, ASKO’s trucks can charge at up to 1.2 MW, enabling dynamic charging between two MCS and four CCS2 high-power Kempower Mega Satellites – fast enough to fill the batteries during the drivers' statutory rest period of 45 minutes. The facility is the first of its kind in Norway.
Kempower toimittaa hajautetun megawattilatausjärjestelmän Norjan suurimman päivittäistavaratukkukauppa ASKO:n rekkavarikolle Vestbyssä16.10.2025 13:00:00 EEST | Tiedote
Kempower tukee Norjan suurinta päivittäistavaratukkukauppa ASKO:a tavoitteessa luopua fossiilisista polttoaineista omissa kuljetuksissaan. ASKO on myös yksi Norjan suurimmista kuljetusyrityksistä. Kempowerin hajautetun megawattilatausjärjestelmän avulla ASKO:n rekat voivat ladata jopa 1,2 MW:n teholla. Kempowerin latausjärjestelmä mahdollistaa dynaamisen latauksen kahden MCS- ja neljän CCS2- Kempower Mega Satellite -lataussatelliitin välillä suurteholatauksella, jotta rekkojen akut täyttyvät kuljettajien lakisääteisen 45 minuutin lepoajan aikana. Latausasema on ensimmäinen laatuaan Norjassa.
Kempower jatkaa hajautetun sähköautolataamisen johtajana laajentamalla dynaamisen tehonjaon 12 latauspisteeseen MORE Plugs -ratkaisulla7.10.2025 09:30:00 EEST | Tiedote
