Kempower launches the most user-friendly AC charger on the market

The most valuable feature for everyday electric car drivers is Kempower AC Satellite’s cable management system. This allows electric car drivers to connect their car to AC charging without having to dig their own cable out of the trunk. Plus, the cable is easy to lift and manage due to the support by springs.
Kempower charging satellite cables never lie on the ground and therefore stay clear from snow, ice, and slush. Even people with physical disabilities or lack of mobility – like those in a wheelchair or pregnant for example – find it easy to move the spring-loaded cables. The spring not only supports the cable, but also makes it easier to park the car since the spring allows the cable to bend in different directions.
“AC charging is something that has been asked from us for a long time. Our own staff tested the AC charging satellite at Kempower headquarters last winter and fell in love with it. Something as small as cable management is a big deal in a busy life, especially when the weather is cold or wet. Now we want to offer the same user-experience to all EV drivers, including hybrid car drivers,” says Jussi Vanhanen, Kempower’s Chief Market Officer.
“In addition, we can now offer more versatile charging systems: Kempower AC Satellite can be placed on the same charging field with Kempower DC Satellites, and connected to Kempower ChargEye, allowing a wide range of customization options” Vanhanen continues.
Kempower will start to deliver AC Satellites immediately as part of the company’s scalable and modular charging offering. All Kempower AC Satellites are produced at Kempower’s new factory in Lahti, Finland.

The first Swedish delivery of the new Kempower Mega Satellite Flex charging solution will take place at Dagab’s depot in Bålsta in August, with commissioning scheduled for the autumn. Dagab is responsible for the Axfood Group’s supply chain and manages the entire logistics chain from warehousing to transport. The solution is being supplied, commissioned and monitored by Erinion, Kempower’s end-to-end partner for charging infrastructure for heavy-duty fleets and part of the Scania Group. Dagab currently has nearly 40 electric trucks in operation, 13 of which are based at the logistics centre in Bålsta.
