Kempower receives Honourable Mention for innovative product design in Fennia Prize 22 design competition
4.5.2022 09:15:00 EEST | Kempower Oyj | Press release

The innovativeness of the Kempower S-Series design lies in its versatility, modularity, user-friendliness, and scalability. The same charging solution is suitable for many electric vehicles, like electric cars, buses, machines, or boats. The number of the S-Series charging points can be easily scaled as the number of vehicles grows.
The Kempower S-Series chargers were also praised by the Fennia prize Jury for their sustainable design. The narrow S-Series satellites have a small footprint and are therefore suitable even for cramped spaces, such as parking garages. The charger is both easy to access and use, thanks to its class-leading cable management and intuitive user interface. The interface also allows the charger to be commissioned and serviced remotely which reduces the need to travel to the chargers. In addition, the aluminum structure of the satellite is 100% recyclable.
“Providing a first-class user experience for EV drivers is the cornerstone of Kempower S-Series product design. Our management and many of our employees drive EVs, and that hands-on experience has also helped us to better understand what features EV drivers really need from chargers. We are very honored by this recognition as we strive to make our products as user-friendly, functional, and sustainable as possible,” says Mikko Veikkolainen, Chief Technology Officer of Kempower.
Fennia Prize is arranged by Design Forum Finland and Fennia in cooperation with the Finnish Patent and Registration Office and Elo. The competition awards companies and organizations that use design extensively in their business operations. This can become evident in many different ways through products, services, or business concepts.

Kempower ChargEye data shows more charging plugs drive higher public charging site utilization in North America25.8.2026 16:00:00 EEST | Press release
New Kempower white paper analyzes real-world data from Kempower ChargEye-connected public charging sites across North America.
Kempowerin datan mukaan latauspisteiden määrän lisääminen kasvattaa julkisen latausaseman käyttöastetta25.8.2026 16:00:00 EEST | Tiedote
Kempower on julkaissut uuden raportin, jossa analysoidaan yhtiön ChargEye -latauksenhallintajärjestelmään liitetyistä julkisista latausasemista eri puolilta Pohjois-Amerikkaa saatavaa dataa. Tulokset osoittavat, että latauspisteiden lukumäärällä on huomattavasti vahvempi yhteys latausaseman käyttöasteeseen kuin aseman lataustehon kokonaismäärällä. ChargEye on Kempowerin pilvipohjainen sähköajoneuvojen latauksenhallintajärjestelmä, jolla latausoperaattorit voivat ohjata ja optimoida latauslaitteiston ja ajoneuvojen lataamista. Raportissa tarkastellaan, miten latausaseman suunnittelu voi vaikuttaa käyttöasteeseen, jaettuun tehoon ja aseman pitkän aikavälin kannattavuuteen. ChargEyen data osoittaa, että latauspisteiden lukumäärällä on noin kolme kertaa suurempi vaikutus aseman käyttöasteeseen kuin asennetulla latausteholla. ”Julkisessa lataamisessa infrastruktuurin käyttöaste on yhä tärkeämpi kysymys tehonjaon rinnalla,” sanoo Kempowerin Pohjois-Amerikan markkinoista ja tuotteista vastaav

Denverin julkiset koulut ja Winn-Marion ottavat käyttöön Kempowerin latausratkaisut kasvavalle sähköbussikalustolle Yhdysvalloissa19.8.2026 10:00:00 EEST | Tiedote
Yhdysvalloissa Coloradon osavaltiossa Denverin julkiset koulut ovat saaneet käyttöönsä uutta Kempowerin latausinfrastruktuuria piirin kasvavan sähköbussikaluston tarpeisiin Hilltopin bussiterminaaliin. Kempower toimi teollisuuden automaatio- ja sähköratkaisujen toimittaja Winn-Marionin johtamassa hankkeessa laitteistotoimittajana ja teknologiakumppanina. Koulupiiri hankki äskettäin 25 uutta Blue Bird Vision -sähköbussia kasvattaen sähköbussikalustonsa 28:aan, mikä on piirin mukaan Coloradon suurin. Uusi latausinfrastruktuuri on valmiina uuden lukuvuoden alkaessa 24. elokuuta. ”Koulubussikannan sähköistämiseen tarvitaan latausinfrastruktuuria, joka toimii päivittäisten kuljetusaikataulujen vaatimusten mukaisesti”, sanoo Kempowerin Pohjois-Amerikan toimitusjohtaja Monil Malhotra. ”Kempowerin teknologia pitää sähköiset koulubussit ladattuina, käyttövalmiina ja liikenteessä, jotta Denverin julkiset koulut voivat tarjota oppilaille päivittäin luotettavia ja vähäpäästöisiä kuljetuksia.” Buss
The first Kempower Mega Satellite Flex in Sweden will be delivered to Dagab’s depot in collaboration with Erinion18.8.2026 10:00:00 EEST | Press release
The first Swedish delivery of the new Kempower Mega Satellite Flex charging solution will take place at Dagab’s depot in Bålsta in August, with commissioning scheduled for the autumn. Dagab is responsible for the Axfood Group’s supply chain and manages the entire logistics chain from warehousing to transport. The solution is being supplied, commissioned and monitored by Erinion, Kempower’s end-to-end partner for charging infrastructure for heavy-duty fleets and part of the Scania Group. Dagab currently has nearly 40 electric trucks in operation, 13 of which are based at the logistics centre in Bålsta. To meet the growing charging demand, a Kempower Mega Satellite Flex is now being installed, capable of charging both today’s CCS-equipped trucks and next-generation MCS vehicles from the same charging unit. This provides a flexible and future-proof solution as the vehicle fleet continues to be electrified. The platform builds on Kempower’s distributed charging architecture and is being in
