The winner of Pietilä Prize 2023 will be announced on 6.10 at the Architecture and Cities in Transition (ACT) seminar in Tampere

The Pietilä Prize is awarded every three years to a young architect or a group of architects. The Pietilä Prize recognises outstanding work in the field of architectural renewal. The prize is worth 10,000 euros. The prize is awarded by the Building Information Foundation RTS sr.

The winner of this year’s Pietilä Prize will be announced and awarded on 6 October at the Architecture and Cities in Transition (ACT) seminar, the main event of Tampere Architecture and Design Week.  The prize will be presented by architects Henna Helander, Julia Hertell and Francesc Palomeras, members of the Pietilä Prize Committee 2023.

The Pietilä Prize was established in 1989. The first Pietilä Prize was awarded to the architect Jorma Mukala in 1992. The most recent prize, the Pietilä Prize 2020, was awarded to architect and carpenter Lars-Erik Mattila.  

Architecture and Cities in Transition seminar (ACT)

Architecture and Cities in Transition (ACT) -seminar will be held 6.10 at 12.30–17.00 in Finnkino Plevna (iSense), Itäinenkatu 4, Tampere. 

The seminar consists of keynotes from famous and influential international and Finnish architects and urban designers. This year’s keynotes will be Olga Felip (Arquitecturia Camps Felip) , Mari Randsborg (Cobe), Janne Hovi (Janne Hovi Architects) and Selina Anttinen (Anttinen Oiva Arkkitehdit).

Tänä vuonna Rakennustietosäätiö myöntää palkinnon Green Building Council Finland ry:lle työstä kiertotalouden ja kestävän rakentamisen tiedon edistäjänä.
