The Fine Arts Academy of Finland Foundation Prize for 2025 will be announced at EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday, February 25, at 3:00 pm. This marks the sixth time the prize will be awarded. The prize exhibition will be part of EMMA’s 2026 exhibition programme. We warmly welcome you to the press event!

The Fine Arts Academy of Finland Prize has been awarded since 2013 in collaboration with EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art and the City of Espoo. The prize is granted to an artist at the peak of their creative career whose work also attracts international interest. 

In 2025, the prize consists of a total monetary award of EUR 45,000, shared among the recipients, and is financially supported by the City of Espoo. The main prize winner will also be invited to hold an exhibition at EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art in 2026. In conjunction with the exhibition, EMMA will publish an artist book, supported by the Fine Arts Academy of Finland Foundation. Previous prize winners and exhibiting artists include Katarina Reuter, Aaron Heino, Tuomas A. Laitinen, Camilla Vuorenmaa, and Outi Pieski.

Vårsäsongen på EMMA – Esbo moderna konstmuseum inleds med en brokig mångfald av tryckta tygers mönster och färger. Utställningen Draperat – Konst av tryckta tyger erbjuder ett upplevelsefyllt sätt att lära känna tygerna som en konstform som sveper in människors hem, kroppar och minnen. Helheten presenterar konst i form av tryckta tyger av 32 designer och konstnärer. Utställningen visas 12.2.2025–14.3.2027.

EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art welcomes the spring season with a vibrant celebration of colours and patterns in printed textiles. Draped – Art of Printed Fabrics offers an immersive way to explore textiles as an art form that adorns our homes, bodies, and memories. The exhibition showcases the artistry of printed fabrics by 31 designers and artists and will be on display from 12 February 2025 to 14 March 2027.
